Industry must drive design education

摘要

Creativity and innovation are the lifeblood of industry. A constant flow of new ideas, technology and appreciation of existing and developing markets drives product design forward. But where are these ideas to come from? Obviously universities and colleges have their part to play. The academic world needs to be in tune with what industry requires from graduates, and nowhere is this more important than in the field of product design.
