Providing a system of logistical support has been the role of the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA) since its creation in 1958. To fulfil the task, the agency has fashioned itself into a multi-faceted operation efficient enough to manage complex multinational procurement and supply projects. However, this has not prevented it from maintair ing the adaptability to respond to the major shifts in NATO policy that, in recent years, has seen the organisation's responsibilities move ever further east.rnNAMSA has achieved this within the multinational framework of the NATO Maintenance and Supply Organisation (NAMSO), of which it is the executive branch.
