A Liberal stance

Nick Harvey's experience in defence policy goes back to 2006 when he was appointed Liberal Democrat Shadow Defence Secretary. In May 2010, with the creation of the Coalition Government, he accepted the post of Minister for the Armed Forces, becoming the first member of a Liberal party to hold a defence portfolio since 1940.
