Waiting for Dr Singh's Visit

The fourth round of the composite dialogue to grapple with the outstanding disputes between Pakistan and India at the Summit level may take place before the middle of the year. That can happen when the Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh visits Pakistan in response to the long standing invitation, which was renewed at the NAM submit at Havana in September. Dr. Singh has accepted the invitation but has fixed no date, tentative or otherwise, for that purpose. He wants the visit to take place when it can produce positive results and not treat it as a good will tool only. The Indian BJP opposition is also laying down hard conditions for the visit, although it is worth nothing that when the opposition leader L.K. Advani visited Pakistan last year he did not come up with any conditions.
