Peru to receive upgraded Super Seasprites

In October 2014 General Dynamics (Gd) Canada announced that it had been contracted, through the Canadian government, to upgrade former Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Kaman SH-2G helicopters for delivery to the Peruvian Navy. The modernisation package, to include enhanced above-water and underwater surveillance capabilities, will leverage technology developed and delivered by GD Canada for the CP-140 Aurora Incremental Modernization Project and the CH-148 Maritime Helicopter Project. The Canadian Commercial Corporation, Ottawa's international government-to-government contracting organisation, negotiated the acquisition and transfer of the five SH-2G helicopters to the Peruvian MoD under an MoU.
