摘要

Getting and staying connected has become a vital necessity as more people work and learn from home. In fact, As-surant's recent COVID-19 survey of nearly 700 connected consumers in the U.S. shows that 62% of respondents said that their lifestyle has significantly changed due to the pandemic. The crisis has taken a toll on the emotional well-being for more than half (55%) of the respondents who said it has become worse. Social relationships (45%) and financial circumstances (42%) also have been negatively impacted. Having to physically distance from family, friends and work has certainly been a hardship. Half (49%) of the respondents reported an increased need to be connected due to the pandemic. That's likely why 42% of consumers have purchased or are considering purchasing new home technologies. This includes having extended warranties to protect their devices and keep them connected.
