The cream of Christmas

The end of the last millennium inspired the development of a whole host of new dairy products. Among them was Souffle Glace from world famous retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S). This premium frozen dessert - using alcohol supplied by Thomas Lowndes -was available for a limited time over the festive period in two flavours: Grand Marnier and Luxardo Amaretto di Saschira. The product comprised two milk chocolate ramekins, with either an orange compote topped with Grand Marnier ice cream souffle or an amaretti biscuit topped with Amaretto ice cream souffle. The use of the chocolate ramekin was designed to be more appealing to consumers than a china ramekin.
