The UK's first Battenberg style cheese was launched by UK supermarket giant Tesco in time for the 2009 Christmas season. Produced by North Downs Dairy, the 'Christmas Cracker Cheddar' (290g) is a festive combination of mature white and red cheddar in an rnattractive chequered format that replicates the design of the traditional cake. Naturally matured for around nine months, it has a smooth, rich, creamy taste and will appeal to all ages.
