Food manufacturers are facing the growing challenge of soaring butter prices due to increased demand for dairy fat and diminished stockpiles in the EU. At the time of writing, spot prices on European markets for butter were as high as €6-6.10kg. A Bloomberg report has predicted consumer demand for butter and products with cream will continue to grow during 2018.
