They don't do things by halves in Southwark.A modern library project could traditionally be just a square box - into which are fitted more square boxes, in which are stored square-shaped books. However, the Canada Water Library turns the building template on its head.rnThe building is essentially inverted, with the top floors of the building overhanging the bottom ones. However, the challenge doesn't end there. In addition to being upside down, one of those overhangs needs to stretch out over water used for fishing, while the Jubilee line's Canada Water station lies directly underneath.
