Leicestershire County Council has granted Aggregate Industries planning permission to extend its flagship Bardon Hill Quarry, releasing more than 132 million tonnes of stone to the market. The Coalville quarry - one of the largest in the UK - will now be able to provide stone in high volumes for the next 40 years through its rail links to London and other major project locations.
