Telford Homes profits increase 18.5% on 2012

Telford Homes has reported an 18.5 per cent rise in profits for the six months to 30 September 2013. Interim figures for the housing group showed its profits increased to £7.7m from £6.5m in the same period of 2012. Overall revenue dropped slightly to £73.7m compared with £78.3m for the first half of 2012, which the company said was due to timings on project completions. On Help to Buy, Telford said that while the scheme was proving to be "invaluable" in some locations, it was not widely required in inner London. As a result, the company has yet to make a single sale under the scheme.
