Product, design and innovation are at the heart of British Ceramic Tile. The UK manufacturer employs its own in-house design team, which national contracts manager Oliver Roberts says helps ensure products are tailored to the British market. "Our competitors tend to offer a Europe-wide product, which may not always suit the local trends in the UK," he says. The firm has just launched a new brand, Project, for the commercial market, which groups British Ceramic Tile's diverse tile offerings into key market segments: hospitality, leisure, retail, office, education, and safety flooring. "Architects and interior designers have different requirements for different sectors; this new brand, together with new catalogue, ensures our customers can find a product that suits the market and project they're working on with ease," Mr Roberts explains. British Ceramic Tile has recently been pushing into the high-end residential market. "Our high-definition product range is key here," Mr Roberts says. "The product replicates natural stone, wood and other effects with a very high-quality, realistic finish.
