Parties must recognise real estate as the driving force of recovery

Manifesto launches are fraught for political parties. The documents themselves are unlikely to change voters' minds and are mainly read by the media and other parties - and only then to see what mistakes have been made. We have also been keeping a careful eye on the main parties' manifesto commitments. These will form the basis of the next Queen's speech and it has been fascinating to see where they overlap with the commitments that the British Property Federation has made on behalf of the real estate industry in ourgeneral election manifesto, A Vision for British Property.
