This week saw yet another local authority splash out on a prime commercial property asset as the highly acquisitive Spelthorne Borough Council snapped up an office scheme in Hammersmith for around £170m, The deal for 12 Hammersmith Grove (pictured) is the council's fourth mega real estate deal in the past 18 months, having forked out a whopping £340m for the BP campus in Sunbury-on-Thames in September 2016 and bought Elmbrook House, also in Sunbury, and 3 Roundwood Avenue at Stockley Park, near Heathrow, last year.
