The CITB's proposal for its new levy will see the amount all firms have to pay to the training board for direct employees cut by a third to 0.35 per cent (see p2-3). In a sector famous for small margins, more money in firms' pockets is bound to be met with interest. CITB head of policy Steve Radley called it the fairest option for the levy's future structure.
