摘要

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has confirmed that the delayed vote on whether the skills body will be authorised to continue collecting a levy from businesses is set to be held this summer. The poll on the industry's backing for the collection of the skills levy for the next three years was postponed last year due to the pandemic. It is meant to be held every three years to secure permission from government for its collection. The organisation has proposed keeping rates at pre-pandemic levels and is also launching a consultation on its funding plans, which closes at the end of April, before final proposals are drawn up in May. These will then be voted on from June to August. The CITB said it will hold "a range of virtual events" and consider feedback on the draft levy before putting it to the vote.
