Construction is arguably the sector of the UK economy most prone to insolvencies and bad debts. Domino effect insolvencies are now showing up after Carillion's liquidation, with Vaughan Engineering and Sammon Contracting both blaming difficulties on bad debts with Carillion. We won't see an end to trade credit, so it remains a risk, one that needs to be properly managed.
