When a Scottish quarrying company wanted to buy a new wheeled loader, it was looking for performance and reliability, and it settled on the New Holland 18 tonne W190B. Pat Munro is a privately owned, multi-disciplinary contractor based in Alness in the Highlands of Scotland. The company, which owns and operates two quarries, manufactures its own roadstone and concrete, and is an expert in road haulage and waste disposal. New Holland said the W190B wheeled loader had a strong track record of reliability. The machine, which is the first New Holland for Munro, was purchased from Ravenhill Construction which is the New Holland dealer for Grampian, the Highlands and Moray. The wheeled loader has been working at the company's Caplich quarry in Alness, and Pat Munro, company owner and son of the founder, said, "Nobody up here has a shovel of this size for hire - certainly not that you could use the next day. If it stops, we stop."
