Allan Myers has incorporated Volvo's advanced training simulators into its new mobile training center after launching its three-year recruiting project, Stepping Up. With Stepping Up, the duo aims to provide Myers employees with the skills needed to confront workforce demand for years to come. "When we look to the future, one of the biggest challenges we see is having trained craft professionals," said Bob Capps, director of craft development for Allan Myers. "With the United States' renewed focus on infrastructure, the work is going to be available, but the problem is having a trained workforce - specifically heavy equipment operators, truck drivers, and carpenters."
