As we move into the peak of the summer months for those of us in northern regions, it's clear that confectionery and bakery sectors have proved their determination to get 2021 back on track as much as possible. After nearly 18 months of restrictions in many areas of the world amid the coronavirus pandemic, businesses have continued their operations to the best of their ability amid challenging times. This was very much evident from our World Confectionery Conference, with our review of the event taking centre stage for this month's edition. From our diverse keynote speakers, through to the accompanying exhibition, we received an encouragingly high volume of industry professionals attending the range of virtual presentations. This has consequently paved the way for enabling our initial plans of a physical event, that we will now be staging in September 2022 in Brussels.
