The PiE project tracker comprises major central plant additions and the largest renewable projects planned (generally 100 MW-plus), as reported in Power in Europe, and updated by us for publication three times a year. As far as possible the list is presented in order of maturity, with the most advanced projects heading each country section. Power stations that have entered operation are retained in the tracker for a year. June 2020: one month delay due to coronavirus, still hoping for end 2022 completion. Annual output forecast at 440 GWh. July 2017: Francis turbines and generators being installed in €461 million powerhouse, total project cost put at €534 million. Annual production put at 414 GWh from 2020, power routed to the grid via Kaunertal substation. Inn river project being developed by GKI. Upper dam on river to have volume of 500,000 cu m, 2.6 km long, 15 meter depth, feeding into 23 km headrace tunnel. 2014: Hochtief wind €132 million contract to build 22 km, 6.5 meter diameter tunnel for the Gemeinschaftskraftwerk Inn (GKI) hydro power on station on the River Inn. Tunnel to be completed mid 2018.
