Innovation for reality

It is difficult to imagine true innovation in concrete - a material that has been around since Roman times - but it is achievable within a number of applications rather than through the basic material itself. The basic ingredients have gone through many improvements, mainly within the manufacturing process, but these cannot be termed as real 'innovation'.
