During the last years, high performance concretes as e.g. high-strength standard and lightweight concretes as well as self-compacting concretes have found their place in traditional building construction. Thus, architects and planning engineers can apply building materials which, owing to their high strength and durability, provide new fields of application for precast elements. When the entire range of performance of the high performance concretes is used, the higher costs can be compensated by saving materials, a lower weight of the building elements and lower transportation and erection costs as a result of a slender construction.%In den letzten Jahren haben Hochleistungsbetone wie z.B. hochfeste Normal- und Leichtbetone sowie selbstverdichtende Betone ihren Platz im traditionellen Hochbau gefunden. Damit stehen Architekten und planenden Ingenieuren Werkstoffe zur Verfügung, die auf Grund ihrer hohen Festigkeiten und Dauerhaftigkeit neue Anwendungsmöglichkeiten für den Fertigteilbau erschließen. Die höheren Kosten können durch Materialeinsparungen, geringere Bauteilgewichte und niedrigere Transport- und Montagekosten infolge der schlankeren Bauweise kompensiert werden, wenn das Leistungsspektrum der Hochleistungsbetone ausgenutzt wird.
