摘要

Prediction and treatment of bone diseases such as osteoporosis, which weakens bone and increases fracture risk, are major issues. Micro-architecture of trabecular bone contributes importantly to overall mechanical properties of bone and the goal here is to predict its evolution. A model of bone remodelling was developed and allows describing where, when and how the remodelling occurs in a physiological and in a low-loading case (for instance, bedridden and microgravity).
