摘要

This study brought new information concerning the influence of handle shape on force distribution and muscle force. Particularly regarding ergonomics, our findings indicated that a given handle shape may be more adapted to maximise grip force exertion but might result in non-homogeneous grip force distribution. For example, the elliptic shape seems more adapted to reducing discomfort such as blister and excessive muscle loadings, whereas the circular shape resulted in better grip force performance.
