Weekend servicing and inspections have helped Volvo Trucks dealer Crossroads secure a deal to supply a new series FMX three-axle tipper to Yorkshire-based operator JG Pears. Servicing and inspections are carried out at weekends, said transport manager Andy Bostock. "The level of Crossroads' aftermarket service was the key reason for choosing Volvo." The new series FMX is powered by Volvo's D13K-460, Euro-6-compliant engine, producing 460hp. For better manoeuvrability the truck is specified with a rear-steer lift-axle, while the hook-lift system is provided by Translift.
