RIEP The Rewards

As of 1 April, the nine Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships (RIEPs), which represent a merger between the nationwide Centres of Excellence and the Improvement Partnerships, went live. This means that the Regional Centres of Excellence programme has now concluded. The RIEPs are partnerships of councils and other local service providers working together to deliver excellent Local Area Agreement outcomes, achieve three percent efficiency savings and support economic growth and community empowerment. In the South East this means that the five South East Centre of Excellence partnerships and the eight Improvement Partnerships have formed Improvement and Efficiency South East (IESE), funded by the Department of Communities and Local Government.
