GPI southeast, inc., is seeking a Florida-registered professional engineer with experience working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and specific engineering experience in roadway, drainage, potable water, sanitary sewer, storm-water management, and private development projects from planning through final construction. Position calls for ability to process complex, detailed information and communicate this to targeted audiences; work with colleagues and clients at all levels to ensure project completion and excellent client relationship; and maintain a professional demeanor and remain focused on goals in stressful, time-sensitive circumstances. The individual with the appropriate experience will transition to the Ocala branch manager and lead the company expansion into Orlando, Tampa, and Eastern Florida. Required experience and skills: Florida-registered professional engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the areas listed above; personnel management; marketing budget development and management; project management and problem-solving skills; ability to work under tight deadlines; analysis of available information in order to make decisions and move projects forward; ability to gather insight from clients, colleagues, and managers to identify and respond to customer needs; consensus building among varied interests and stakeholders; comfortable in public speaking and presentation roles; skilled in relationship building and fostering teamwork; able to work with demanding personalities in order to achieve results; networking among targeted decision makers to cultivate business opportunities or events to showcase expertise; and refined writing skills, including writing of articles, proposals, press releases, speeches, and advertisements.
