History of the structural engineering standards for underground mining structures

摘要

The first reason for preparing this article was to report on thesuccessful achievement of the aim of having publicly availableinformation for underground mine structures. By ISO publishingthese standards, all countries who are members of ISO haveagreed that these will be the internationally recognised standards.The additional purpose of this article is to create awarenessof these standards. A follow-up article dealing with thetechnical contents of the standards, is currently in preparationand will be published in this magazine as soon as it hasbeen completed.
