The Application of Single Drop Extraction Technique for Chromatographic Determination of Solvent Residues in Edible Oils and Pharmaceutical Products

This paper presents the advantages and shortcomings of a single drop extraction technique, which is a simple and inexpensive alternative to the SPME technique. Moreover, the development of two analytical procedures for chromatographic determination of selected organic solvents (i.e., hexane, benzene, toluene and trichloromethane, 1,1,1-trichloroethane, tetrachloromethane, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethene) in edible oil and pharmaceutical samples has been described. The analytical procedure description and its optimization, the values of validation parameters and final determinations of chosen chemical compounds in the collected samples are also presented.
