A total of 27 wells have been so far drilled in Zhuanghai area of Sinopec Shengli Oil Field with the proven oil in place accumulated to 45.46 million tons. It is hopeful to prove another 50 million tons of oil in place in this region next year so that another oil field with the reserves of 100 million tons is taking shape. Zhuanghai, located in the northern part of Zhuangxi Oil Field with a complicated geological structure, has an area of 200 square kilometers for favorable exploration. In 2001, Zhuanghai-10, an exploration well drilled in Zhuanghai area, obtained high-yield oil flow from Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Tertiary. This discovery has greatly encouraged confidence of the geologists in this area. Later, they have deployed other seven wells, such as Chengbei-306, Zhanghai-102 and Chengbei-307. All of those wells found industrial oil flow. Of those wells, Chengbei-306 has a daily oil production of 64.1 tons while Zhuanghai-102 has a daily oil and gas production of 95.1 tons and 26,486 cubic meters.
