The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) is rising to the challenge of helping science teachers understand and implement the goals of the National Science Education Standards issued last December by the National Research Council (NRC). At its national convention, held late last month in St. Louis, NSTA introduced resources that will help teachers navigate their way in adopting the NRC standards. It also released the results of a survey of 5,000 science teachers on their reaction to the standards.
