NASA GETS A SLIGHT BOOST FOR 2002 R&D

The proposed 2oo2 budget for the National Aeronautics & Space Administration is up slightly from this year, demonstrating the Bush Administration's general support for space programs. Overall, NASAs funding would rise 1.8% to $14.5 billion, an increase of $258 million. That increase would be split about evenly between spaceflight programs and R&D programs.
