The introduction of IMn(salen)(H_2O)]_2(ClO_4)_2 H_2O ({Mn_2~Ⅲ}) into the polyoxometalate (POM) systems Na_3[XMo_6(OH)_6O_(18)] (X = Al and Cr) led to the isolation of new {Mn_2~Ⅲ}-POM composite materials with single-molecule magnetic behaviour.rnDesign and synthesis of new single-molecule magnets (SMMs) are of great interest in recent years due to their potential applications in high-density information storage and quantum computation.
