Starch-based vesicles with controlled size have been successfully achieved by a simple nanoprecipitation procedure from starch mixed ester.rnVesicles, as one of the main structures in living organisms, have attracted increasing attention due to their important functions for life such as storage and transportation. Recently, much effort has been put into establishing the physicochemical properties of vesicles based on synthetic amphiphatic macromolecules. Some excellent examples were polycarprolactone-, polylactide- and polycarbonate-based biocompatible/biodegradable block copolymer vesicles.
