In what was supposed to have been their quiet season, many of the truckload carriers and 3PLs I know were ending 2013 incredibly busy. Rates and demand were unseasonably strong, and for the first time in a long time there's a genuine sense of urgency in the supply chain. As encouraging as economic conditions may be, new regulations - two in particular - are creating uneasiness among truckers and freight brokers. Let's take a look at how they might impact 2014.
