Kate boats was returning to the show to celebrate 25 years - both as a hire boat operator and boatbuilder. This near full-length cruiser was built as a holiday boat for a private customer but clearly drew from Kate's experience devising sturdy, flexible hire craft.rnIt was powered by a 43hp Nanni engine with an integral 4kw generator between engine and gearbox rather than a belt-driven AC alternator - one of two of these we saw at Crick. It was also gas-free using a Wallas oil-fired oven and hob.
