How did that happen - the year is already halfway through? It only seems a couple of weeks since we were all worrying about ice damage to paintwork and frozen water points. But the sun is here, the days are long and boats are passing my mooring with the regularity of London buses down Oxford Street. Journeys planned in the depths of winter are a reality. Of course, himself is thinking 'time to change the gearbox fluid and get to grips with the micro-blistering'. I, on the other hand, am thinking flowers! Time for the delights of bright, blowzy summer bedding plants to come into their own at the boat as well as at home. I always keep my eyes open for interestingrnplanting containers and look at how inventive other boat owners are.
