We have had too much fast travel over the last month or so - it has been a case of 'let the train take the strain', covering many miles from South London to Lancaster with Cheshire and Middlesex added to the itinerary. After all the land travel, we are so glad to be back afloat with Epiphany rocking under us. Ironically, leaving our floating home is all part of the liveaboard life and public transport links are usually pretty reliable, if you are not in a hurry! Everything on land travels so fast though -1 prefer the slow, steady pace of a narrowboat. Leaving the Llangollen we turned north from Hurleston Junction onto the old Chester Canal. Built in 1772 as a broad canal with widebeam locks, it was constructed from the River Dee at Chester to Nantwich.
