摘要

Three hundred million years ago dragonflies as big as seagulls were flying over our land mass. Warmer temperatures and high oxygen levels may have played a part in the evolution of these giants. Nowadays, one of the largest dragonflies you will see in Britain is a mere 7cm long, but the so-called Southern Hawker is expanding its range right up into Scotland with the warmer temperatures we've been experiencing over the years.
