Quilceda Creek's Alex Golitzin was born in France, and his late uncle was Andre Tchelist-cheff of California's Beaulieu Vineyard, one of America's most influential winemakers. With his uncle's help, Golitzin began to make Cabernet Sauvignon from vines in Washington State. Since the late 1980s, together with his son, Paul, he has been producing some of the world's most glorious Cabs.
