The business world has viewed the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with trepidation for some time now, a point borne out by endless studies indicating that the rising cost of providing healthcare to employees is a major concern for employers. And little wonder: In any given year, between 60 and 70 percent of the civilian workforce obtains healthcare coverage through employee-sponsored plans-and that number jumps when only full-time, year-round employees are considered.
