College and graduate tuition and fees are rising at a faster rate than most family incomes, according to reports recently released by the College Board. As a result, outstanding student loan debt has ballooned to $1.4 trillion. Climbing out of student loan debt is a struggle for some 44 million people, whose payments can range from $250-$ 1,000 per month, or more. Stacked on top of credit card bills, car loans and rent, student loan payments can leave even well-compensated college graduates stretched thin and feeling anxious about their financial future.
