Ergebnisse einer empirischen Studie über die strategische Bedeutung intelligenter Informationssysteme für das Bankgeschäft

The use of information and communication systems plays an important role for the competitiveness in banking. Therefore it is important for banks to identify and use key technologies timely. In this paper the authors present the results of an empirical investigation on the strategic importance of intelligent information systems in banking. Here, the term "intelligent information systems" includes knowledge-based systems and neural networks. It turns out that the strategic potential of intelligent information systems today is evaluated sceptically.%Der Einsatz von Informations- und Kommunikationssystemen spielt für die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von Banken eine entscheidende Rolle. Daher ist es für Banken wichtig, Schlüsseltechnologien für das Bankgeschäft rechtzeitig zu identifizieren und einzusetzen. In diesem Beitrag werden die Ergebnisse einer empirischen Untersuchung zur strategischen Bedeutung intelligenter Informationssysteme für das Bankgeschäft vorgestellt. Unter dem Begriff „intelligente Informationssysteme" werden hierbei Wissensbasierte Systeme und Künstliche Neuronale Netze zusammengefaßt. Dabei zeigt sich, daß das strategische Potential intelligenter Informationssysteme heute eher skeptisch eingeschätzt wird.
