They say there is no such thing as bad press. That said, when you commission a map that is intended to serve as a source of reference for a full year, the inclusion of careless mistakes and factual inaccuracies undermines the principle that quality information is a key part of journey planning.rnI refer to the 2009/10 Regional Public Transport Map published recently by Sestran, the South East of Scotland Transport Partnership, one of seven statutory regional transport partnerships created by the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005. Sestran's vision is to 'provide all citizens of south-east Scotland with a genuine choice of transport, which fulfils their needs and provides travel opportunities for work and leisure on a sustainable basis'.
