Cutting Snowdon Sherpa fares in North Wales to a flat ￡1 has produced 50% more income than expected this summer.rnSherpa, covering northern Snowdonia, has been held up as a model of sustainable transport in a sensitive landscape, but services were cut last autumn after Welsh Assembly Government funding stopped. Income for Sherpa from car parks in Snowdonia last year was lower than expected, partly because parking ticket machines were vandalised.
