Swiss ramp up Riviera presence

CarPostal France, the French arm of Switzerland's PostAuto postal buses, has won another major contract along the Mediterranean south-east coastline, boosting to eight the number of urban networks it operates in France. The contract in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region is worth €40million (£34.7million) of turnover and runs for five years from 1 January 2014. CarPostal France takes over 49 buses and 71 staff from Transdev subsidiary Autobus Aureliens. Services operate in and around the towns of Salon-de-Provence and Miramals in the Bouches-du-Rhone department north of Marseilles.
