Central Buses marked its sale to Rotala'sDiamond Bus (Buses last month) with a double-deck running day on a normally single-deck route on 24 February, its final day as an independent business. Three double-deckers - its own London Transport Routemaster and two hired for the day from Midland Classic -duplicated single-deckers every hour on route 35 (Lichfield-Walsall). All three carried destination displays marking Central's existence from 2003 to 2018.The Routemaster, RML2411, did not form part of the sale, which has seen 28 single-deckers and three Dennis Trident double-deckers taken into the Diamond fleet.
