Here's something for those unkind and severely misguided souls who try and tell you that you need your head examined if you decide to wait for a bus. Clive D'Eath discovered the bus stop at the front gate of a hospital - Hopital St Jean de Dieu to be precise - on the outskirts of the French city of Lyon in the 8th arrondissement. This is no ordinary bus stop, he tells me, for there is an eternally waiting passenger in the bus shelter, which was put there 20 years ago in 1998. The passenger is none other than Sigmund Freud, with his celebrated couch. And the couch seats two, so you can be psychoanalysed while you wait for your bus.
